RAP SHEET 7/2/23

Series: Made To

Sermon: Team Up

Scriptures: Hebrews 10:25

ICE BREAKER: What is the first team sport you ever played and what is your best memory from it?

REVIEW:

This week, we learned that we were Made To Team Up!

We saw that the New Testament consistently uses the phrase "one another" to instruct believers how to deal with each other. To help us see the power of community we looked at a few of these examples. We saw that we are instructed to:

-LOVE ONE ANOTHER

-ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER

-CARRY ONE ANOTHER'S BURDENS

In a world that is constantly trying to pull us away from our faith, we need the love of a community, the encouragement of other believers, and trusted individuals to help us carry the weight of a very heavy life.

Too many Christians treat following Jesus like an individual sport - missing out on the fullness of what Teaming Up does for the life of a believer!

APPLY:

Odds are, if you are reading this you are already on a Life Team... Great Job! You are on a TEAM!

How have you seen your team love one another this year?

How has being on a team given you the opportunity to love your brothers and sisters in Christ?

How has your team been an encouragement to you?

What is one way you can intentionally encourage someone else this week?

What does it look like for your team to carry one another's burdens?

PRAY:

Ask God to help make your Life Team as effective as possible. MetaChurch always needs new teams to provide community for more people - ask God if he may be calling you to Lead a Team someday in the future.
