RAP SHEET 5/26/24

Series: Stupid In Love

Sermon: He Is Rizzin

REVIEW:

This week, we continued our series "Stupid In Love" by discussing how to be attractive and attract the right kind of person. We explored the difference between superficial attraction and meaningful connection, emphasizing the importance of being real, holy, and driven. Together, we got honest about how our world determines what is "attractive" and contrasted worldly views of attraction with a biblical perspective.

Key Points:

1. Be Real: Authenticity is crucial. Proverbs 27:19 and James 1:23-24 remind us to reflect our true selves, rooted in our identity in Christ.

2. Be Holy: Holiness means being set apart and living according to God's standards. Proverbs 22:1 and 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8 highlight the importance of maintaining integrity and purity.

3. Be Driven: Having a focused vision for life is attractive. Matthew 6:33 and Colossians 3:1-2 encourage us to seek God's kingdom and prioritize His purposes.

APPLY:

If You Are Single:

- Reflect on areas where you might project a false image to attract others. How can you be more authentic in your relationships?

- Consider the aspects of holiness in your life. Are there areas where you need to set yourself apart more distinctly?

- Identify your life’s driving purpose. Are you seeking the kingdom of God first in your pursuits?

If You Are Married:

- Assess how well you and your spouse reflect your true selves to each other. What steps can you take to foster deeper authenticity in your marriage?

- Discuss with your spouse how you can support each other in living a holy life. Are there compromises you need to address?

- Reevaluate your shared goals and vision. How can you both stay driven toward God’s purposes together?

PRAY:

Ask God to help you become more real, holy, and driven. Pray for the wisdom to attract the right people into your life and to build relationships that honor Him.
