Message: GET BACK UP!

REVIEW:

This week, Pastor Lee walked us through the life of the apostle Paul. Paul was beaten down in every way imaginable! He was shipwrecked, whipped, stoned, and imprisoned.

What part of your life do you feel beat down in?

What makes it hard to keep going in these situations?

Paul was somehow able to keep going despite his enormous trials. It almost seemed like the more life came against him, the more resolve he had to keep going.

Have you ever known someone who was able to get back up when life got hard?

What do you remember about their outlook on life?

What separated them from the rest of society?

In order to overcome life's trials, we have to broaden our perspective. Paul lived with what we call a "Pilgrim's Perspective." This is a reminder that eternity is still ahead of us. No matter how bad this life gets, God is going to make all things right someday.

Paul had this and it led him to live one of the most significant lives in history.

What would your life look like if you could GET BACK UP?

APPLY:

A Pilgrim's Perspective is essential to applying the power of God in our lives. It is how we see beyond our current pain and trials.

HERE IS YOUR APPLICATION QUESTION FOR THE WEEK:

What is ONE AREA in your life you will choose to GET BACK UP in?

Perhaps you have lost hope in your relationships

Maybe you have given up on your career dreams or education

Some people may have given in to their addictions

Start with a Pilgrim's Perspective - broaden you view - and seek God to help you Get Back Up!

PRAY:

Spend some time asking God to keep eternity in front of you. Do not let a day go by that you don't consider what Jesus has for you on the other side of this life.

Seek what area in your life you have been kicked down, and ask the Holy Spirit to give you the strength to Get Back Up!
