SERIES: Insecurity

SERMON: Relationships

SCRIPTURE: 1 John 4:9-10

REVIEW:

This week, we continued wrestling with our insecurity. The message explored the lie that relationships, particularly romantic ones, can offer the security we crave. While relationships promise security, they often become the most significant source of insecurity. Scripture reminds us that true security can’t come from sinful and temporary people. Instead, security is found only in Jesus, who offers a love that drives out fear and provides eternal security. The takeaway is clear: we can only thrive when our security is rooted in Christ, not in human relationships.

APPLY:

What insecurities have driven your actions or decisions in your relationships?

How have you seen insecurity create tension or fear in your life?

How can you focus this week on deepening your relationship with Jesus to experience the security He offers?

PRAY:

Pray for God to reveal the areas where you’ve been looking for security in others instead of in Him. Ask Him to help you trust in His love, which casts out fear, and to rest in the security that comes from being in a relationship with Jesus. Thank Him for the freedom and confidence found in Christ’s love.
